About Cascade

Cascade is a focus and app-blocking app for iPhone, built for people who feel like their attention isn't fully theirs anymore.

Most of us don't open the same apps fifty times a day because we decided to. We do it on autopilot: a spare second, a thumb already moving, a feed designed to never end. It isn't a willpower problem. It's a design problem, and the design was never on our side.

Why we built it

Plenty of tools can block an app. Fewer help with the moment right before you reach for it, when the urge shows up and a plain "no" rarely holds. Cascade was built around that moment. Instead of only slamming the door, it gives you a calm pause: block the noise, watch the urge rise and pass, and slowly stop reaching for the hit at all.

That's the whole idea behind the name. Small choices, repeated, cascade into who you become.

How it works

Cascade offers a few ways to hold the line, depending on how hard the pull is: a gentle Zen mode to ease in, a Hardcore mode that adds real friction with limited unlock passes, and a Vault that locks apps away with no way out until time's up. When a craving hits, a short guided Meditation helps you ride it out, and Rewire turns each session into a small vote for the person you're becoming.

What we believe

The honest part

Cascade is early and still growing. We'd rather build something genuinely useful than dress it up with numbers we haven't earned. If it helps you spend your attention on what actually matters, we're doing our job.
